If you have built your website with a text editor or program such as Dreamweaver, you will need to use an FTP client to upload your website from your computer to your cPanel hosting account.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Your cPanel hosting account must be\u00a0set up<\/a>\u00a0before you can upload files to it.<\/p>\n

Find your FTP settings<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Log in to your IFindHost – CheapDomainRegistration.com account.<\/li>\n
  2. Click\u00a0Web Hosting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Next to the cPanel account you want to use, click\u00a0Manage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Make note of the\u00a0IP address<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0cPanel username<\/strong>\u00a0shown on the hosting plan<\/a> details page. If you do not know what your cPanel password is, you can also change it from this page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Connect to your cPanel account using your FTP client<\/h3>\n

    We recommend\u00a0FileZilla<\/a>\u00a0for FTP, but you can also use the FTP settings that you located previously for other FTP clients and sitebuilders. The instructions below reflect connecting via FTP with Filezilla.<\/p>\n

    1. Download, install, and launch\u00a0FileZilla<\/a>.<\/li>\n
    2. At the top of your Filezilla window, you will see a Quickconnect bar.\"QuickConnect<\/li>\n
    3. In the Filezilla Quickconnect bar, fill in the following information and click\u00a0Quickconnect<\/strong>:

      Port<\/td>\n21<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Move files from your computer to your cPanel account<\/h3>\n

      1. In the\u00a0Remote Site<\/strong>\u00a0area on the right hand side of Filezilla, open your website’s root directory.<\/li>\n
      2. In the\u00a0Local Site<\/strong>\u00a0area on the left hand size of Filezilla, open the folder containing your website. This folder should contain your website’s index file – like\u00a0index.html<\/code>\u00a0or\u00a0index.php<\/code>.<\/li>\n
      3. To upload your website, select all of your website’s files and directories, and then drag them from the\u00a0Local Site<\/strong>\u00a0area into the\u00a0Remote Site<\/strong>\u00a0area.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u00a0Note:\u00a0<\/strong>How long it takes to upload your website depends on its size and your internet connection.<\/p>\n

        Now that your files are uploaded, you can go to your domain name<\/a> and see your website!<\/p>\n
