If you own Website Builder<\/a> v7 but haven’t yet migrated your v6 site’s content, here’s how to move over the text. Remember: The v6 content will not be accessible after you\u00a0publish<\/em>\u00a0the new site.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Depending on your site’s size, this manual process can take a while. You may want to check out\u00a0Options to migrate my website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

  1. Use your Web browser to display your\u00a0published<\/em>\u00a0v6 site. (In other words, don’t launch the Website Builder v6 program.)<\/li>\n
  2. In a\u00a0separate<\/em>\u00a0browser window, log in to your IFindHost – Cheap Domain Registration. com account.<\/li>\n
  3. In your\u00a0Products<\/strong>\u00a0list click\u00a0Website Builder<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0Manage<\/strong>next to your\u00a0new<\/em>\u00a0account (not your v6 account).<\/li>\n
  4. When your new Website Builder launches,\u00a0select a theme<\/a>\u00a0for your new site.<\/li>\n
  5. Create some empty pages to which you’ll move content from your v6 site. (See\u00a0Add A Page<\/a>.)\n

    \u00a0Note:<\/strong>\u00a0No need to spend a lot of time creating perfect pages \u2014 the goal is to move your v6 content over to the new site as simply as possible. You can rename and polish your v7 pages later on if you like.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. Create a text box on one of the new pages by clicking the\u00a0Text<\/strong>\u00a0tool in the left-hand toolbar. Drag the text box if you need to reposition it.

  7. Switch to your v6 site’s tab\/window, select the text on a page, and use Cntrl\/Command+C to copy it.<\/li>\n
  8. Switch back to the tab\/window displaying your new Website Builder site, select the text box’s placeholder text, and use Cntrl\/Command+V to replace it with the text copied from your v6 site.

  9. Repeat these steps on each page of your v6 site until you’ve copied all the text to your new site.\n

    \u00a0Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Besides moving text, you’ll also need to re-upload your v6 site’s images to your new site. See\u00a0Add image<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Adding image slideshows and photo galleries<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  10. Because the v6 version (and its content) will no longer be available after you\u00a0publish<\/em>\u00a0your v7 site, double-check to make sure you have copied over everything from the old site.<\/li>\n
  11. After confirming that you’ve moved everything to the new site, you can publish it. (See\u00a0Publish my website<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
