For more information, see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.secureserver.net\/help\/article\/664?prog_id=ifindhost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Change nameservers for my domains<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"alert alert-warning\">\u00a0<strong>Required:<\/strong>For your domain or subdomain to forward, its A record must be pointed to\u00a0<code>50.63.202.1<\/code>.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you want your visitors to be able to go to your domain or subdomain with or without the www prefix, you need to forward your domain name to use www.<\/p>\n<h2>To forward or mask your domain or subdomain<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapdomainregistration.com\/\"><strong>My Products<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0page.<\/li>\n<li>If you aren&#8217;t automatically directed there, make sure to select the\u00a0<strong>My Products<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n<li>Next to the domain or subdomain you want to use, click\u00a0<strong>DNS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the\u00a0<strong>DNS Management<\/strong>\u00a0page, scroll down to the\u00a0<strong>Forwarding<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/li>\n<li>Next to\u00a0<strong>Domain<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Subdomain<\/strong>, click\u00a0<strong>Add<\/strong>, and enter your domain or subdomain name:\n<ul>\n<li>The value entered can include a period (.) but not as the first or last character.<\/li>\n<li>Consecutive periods (&#8230;) are not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>The entire value cannot exceed 25 characters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Under\u00a0<strong>Forward to<\/strong>, select\u00a0<strong>http:\/\/<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>https:\/\/<\/strong>. For more information, see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.secureserver.net\/help\/article\/5454?prog_id=ifindhost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HTTP vs. HTTPS<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the URL you want to forward your domain or subdomain to.<\/li>\n<li>Select your\u00a0<strong>Forward type<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Permanent (301)<\/strong>: Redirects to the site you specified in the Forward To field using a &#8220;301 Moved Permanently&#8221; HTTP response. The HTTP 301 response code tells user-agents (including search engines) that the location has permanently moved.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Temporary (302)<\/strong>: Redirects to the site you specified in the Forward To field using a &#8220;302 Found&#8221; HTTP response. The HTTP 302 response code tells user-agents (including search engines) that the location has temporarily moved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select your\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Forward only<\/strong>: Forwards the domain or subdomain without masking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Forward with masking<\/strong>: Prevents the forwarded domain or subdomain URL from displaying in the browser&#8217;s address bar, and lets you enter Meta Tags for search engine crawlers in the following fields:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Title<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Displays at the top of the browser window and in search results (title can be no more than 80 characters)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; A short description of your website to display in search engine results (description can be no more than 150 characters)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keywords<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; A list of comma-separated keywords that describes the content and purpose of your website (keywords can be no more than 500 characters)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"alert cs-alert-danger\">\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Warning:<\/strong>\u00a0Masking is incompatible with some sites that use\u00a0<strong>https:\/\/<\/strong>, i.e. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapdomainregistration.com\/cheap-ssl-certificates.html\">SSL certificates<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>To automatically update your nameservers to accommodate your forwarding changes, check\u00a0<strong>Update my DNS setting to support this change<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"note\">\u00a0<strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Forwarded domains or subdomains can take up to 24-48 hours to activate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>To remove masking<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>On the\u00a0<strong>DNS Management<\/strong>\u00a0page, scroll down to the\u00a0<strong>Forwarding<\/strong>section.<\/li>\n<li>Next to\u00a0<strong>Domain<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Subdomain<\/strong>, click on the\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img1.wsimg.com\/support\/images\/domains\/reuse\/domains-pencil-edit-icon.png\" alt=\"Text Icon\" height=\"15\" \/>\u00a0(pencil icon).<\/li>\n<li>Next, click on the\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img1.wsimg.com\/support\/images\/domains\/reuse\/domains-trash-can-icon-01.png\" alt=\"Text Icon\" height=\"15\" \/>\u00a0(trash can icon).<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Domain or\u00a0subdomain\u00a0forwarding lets you automatically direct your visitors to a different website.
